Cascade Community FCU prepares for the future with NewSolutions
Memphis, Tennessee, August 20, 2003 – Share One, Inc. today announced that Cascade Community FCU in Roseburg Oregon has selected Share One’s NewSolutions core processing system for their credit union. Share One has committed to a September 2, 2003 implementation.
Cascade Community recently merged with Western Cascade FCU to become the leader in the Douglas County marketplace. The purpose of the merger was to become more competitive, so choosing a flexible and robust data processing system became an essential part of that strategy. With 13,000 members and $85 million in assets, they needed a flexible system that fully supported comprehensive relationship pricing, front-line cross selling tools, and supported seamless document imaging and storage.
CEO Kay Bjornson said that their management team limited their search to those systems being used by the most successful and progressive credit unions. In addition to a thorough search and numerous demonstrations, they spent at least a day on site, at a credit union client of each DP system, reviewing how they were actually utilized and the level of support they received.
When asked why Cascade Community Federal Credit Union selected Share One’s New Solutions system, IT manager Dale Debs said New Solutions offered the most “Bang for the Buck”. The modern design of the New Solutions system leverages the latest MS Windows technology to allow the greatest flexibility, longevity, and ease to integrate with numerous best of breed 3rd party applications. In addition, the system utilizes inexpensive Intel based server hardware all running on MS Win2K.
Kay Bjornson said the primary reason Cascade Community FCU choose to continue with Share One, Inc. and install their newest product, NewSolutions, was their outstanding support and service over the last 15 years. The willingness of the Share One staff to create and support unique solutions for our credit union really tilted the balance in their favor said Bjornson. We can hardly wait to install the NewSolutions system because it will improve both member service and profitability.
NewSolutions was introduced first in 2001 and has since been installed in 25 credit unions around the country ranging is size from $10 million in assets to $800 million. Share One, Inc. has been a leading developer of credit union management software systems for 28 years and provides a full range of support, training and Internet banking services to an installed base of credit unions across the United States.
